It's a dreamy and nightmarish remix of various 'Joan of Arc' films from 1916 to 1999, focusing on the brutality of war, politics and freedom. The footage has been repaired and applied photoshop filters with various special effects and compositing. |

September 2009 - Macchiagodena, Italy - IO Project - Women of Molise In Search of Belonging A live Audio-Visual cinematic exploration about family, immigration and a sense of belonging, touching on Neo-Realism & Post-Realism. The performance used excerpts from various feature and documentary films, my video documentation of Macchiagodena (previous years) and used as a narrative structure, excerpts from the book by Shaun Tan, "The Arrival". I also used various music from Italy, France and the USA. |

May 2007 - Macchiagodena, Italy - IO Project - TCT T.V. - 1st Place Video Award Borghi Autentici d'Italia (Friuli, Italy) Macchiagodena This documentary music video compares Frank Monaco's 1953 photos of Macchiagoden to current day Macchiagodena. I made this video in 3 & 1/2 days, trying to capture as many residents as I could. The music is traditional Molise, region of the village. It aired on local television for the residents of Macchiagodena. |
