1265 Griswold Detroit - My Loft

An individual project proposed for my film study class at Wayne State University (professor Kaitlin Hanger). The show focused on worldwide problems, consumerism, identity crisis, apathy and death.
There were five installation sections containing videos, films, mirrored projections & artwork. There was also one actress doing live performance within one section; she only performed when I periodically changed sounds on a mixer (they were her cues). Original videos were made with two actresses (one being the live performance artist) that looped in the installation too.

Tools & Equipment: Avid non-linear editing software (Wayne State Univ.), Vhs video camera, SLR camera & B&W photo developing & printing (at loft), 16mm film camera, 2 16mm looped film projectors, 1 Kloss Novabeam video projector, 2 Tutor 16mm single frame units, 4 video monitors & vcrs, 4 mirrors reflecting 16mm projection.

Excerpts from my show, Dance of Life Confronts Apathy... were chosen for this group exhibit. Three monitors with accompanying headsets were placed side by side and displayed three videos and across from each monitor were related art objects.
