For the Composite Fashion Show I made montages based on religion, mass media, insanity and image. The film montages were projected live with corresponding fashion scenes and the video montages were looped on 4 video monitors in the adjacent art gallery room.
Out of my 200 16mm educational films, I had to find footage that fit religion, mass media & insanity within 3 weeks. In the end I chose 7 films for religion, 6 films for mass media and 5 films for insanity. Didn’t find any footage for insanity, so I had to make a montage that could imply it. For the video installation it was easier to find related media.
